Meet Yazid, the passionate owner behind Slice Pizza House, now proudly open in the heart of North Attleboro, MA! Yazid’s story is one of hard work, determination, and a deep love for pizza. Originally from Kabylie, Algeria, Yazid moved to the U.S. in 2008 in pursuit of the American dream. He got his start in the pizza business in 2009 as a dishwasher at Antonio’s Pizza by the Slice in Champaign, IL. It wasn’t long before his talent and work ethic were recognized — he quickly worked his way up to pizza cook, then shift manager in 2013, and ultimately general manager in 2014. In 2016, Yazid moved to Texas to manage Antonio’s Pizza in College Station, where his leadership helped the restaurant win Best Pizza awards in 2019, 2020, and 2021. He also played a key role in opening two more Antonio’s locations in Worcester, MA, and Newport, RI, before being promoted to district manager.
Inspired by his roots and years of experience, Yazid opened his own pizza shop, Kabylo’s Pizza, in 2022 — a tribute to his hometown of Kabylie. Kabylo’s quickly gained recognition, winning Best Pizza awards in 2022, 2023, and 2024, and earning a spot in the top six best New York-style pizzas in Texas. Now, Yazid is bringing his passion and award-winning expertise to North Attleboro with Slice Pizza House. Alongside him is his cousin Malik, who shares in the excitement of this new chapter. Together, they craft every slice with the finest ingredients, authentic flavors, and the care of someone dedicated to perfecting the art of pizza.
